The Victorian Formula 500 Stampede series finally got under way last night at Simpson Speedway. After 2 rainouts, round 3 of the BargainBikeGear.com.au series was to be a good start to the season. With 7 rookies and many seasonal drivers, good racing was had by all with only some minor mishaps.
Once again the Formula 500 division leads the nomination numbers for this weekends show at the Perth Motorplex. With no less than thirty seven nominations, there are no other divisions that have as many drivers competing this weekend, and when you scan through the list and see how many regular drivers are missing, one can tell that the upcoming Australian Title is going to be massive.
