In somewhat of a surprise result, rookie Formula 500 racer Adrian La Macchia is sitting atop the points tree after the completion of Night One of the WA Formula 500 Championship.
Just one week after the gruelling Australian Title/Bunny Burrowes Memorial weekend, the WA Formula 500's and a number of interstate visitors are heading up the highway and into the heart of the Goldfields. Kalgoorlie Speedway will play host to a snarling field of forty Formula 500's, all of whom will be vying for the WA State Championship.
Broadwood Family Racing has finished up a busy week of racing, garnering an A-Main start in a very competitive Australian Formula 500 Title held at the Perth Motorplex on March 14 & 15.

Last night at Narrogin Speedway Andrew Priolo got a measure of redemption as he claimed the Perth TQ Car Club promoted $5000 to win 32nd Annual Catalyst Communication Rigging Bunny Burrowes Memorial.
Five years after his first Australian Formula 500 Championship victory, Brock Hallett has tonight claimed his second win in the event at the Perth Motorplex.

In news that will get the blood pumping for any speedway fan, we have had the biggest field ever nominated for the Catalyst Communication Pty Ltd 2014 Bunny Burrowes Memorial.
There is just over a week until the first lap is turned at the Perth Motorplex for the 2014 Washpod Australian Formula 500 Championship. This is the first time the event will be held at the venue and there is a solid field of seventy cars nominated ready for action.
Drivers and crew are invited to attend this informal get together. Come down and enjoy a relaxing drink with fellow competitors before the big race.
Today is the day we announce the final nominations for the Washpod 2013/14 Australian Formula 500 Championships! Another eight are released right now, but who knows how many we will be releasing later today!
After just under two weeks of announcing nominations, we are proud to announce on behalf of the Perth Motorplex and the WA Formula 500 Association that the official nominations for the Washpod 2013/14 Australian Formula 500 Championship have totalled no less than 70 competitors!
Former Victorian Formula 500 Association President, State Scrutineer and driver Peter Olsson is travelling from England to attend the Australian Championship at Perth Motorplex. Brother of the current Victorian F500 Association President, Chris, he has lived in England for nearly 22 years and is flying into Perth the weekend before the big race. He is also attending the Bunny Burrowes Memorial at Narrogin, and the W.A. Championship at Kalgoorlie before returning to the UK.
