F500’s Wa – Wcs Rd4 & 5 Esperance / Kalgoorlie

F500’s WA prepares to hit the road for the Australia Day weekend travelling to Esperance and Kalgoorlie for the running of West Coast Series Rounds 4 and 5.

$8500 round prize money is on offer for the two nights, with 24 cars nominated for the Friday night show in Esperance, 23 cars nominated for the Saturday night show in Kalgoorlie.

The highest ranked driver for the weekend is David Sinagra. With a healthy lead on the West Coast Series, following 2 x round wins and reliability back in the engine department, Sinagra will put on a show for the fans as he looks to extend his series lead.

Jason Pryde too has made progress in the handling department, and comes off the back of two podium finishes in his last two shows, and heads south with much more confidence in his racing package. Aaron Higgins has been on the podium in all three WCS rounds, including a round win. Running second in the series, Higgins too has exceptional form on his side.

Ben Robinson and Graham Terry take local knowledge into the weekend. Robinson has proven his pace around Esperance last season, and with both drivers hailing from Kalgoorlie, no other drivers would have as many laps under their belts around the venue.

F500’s WA are running an award for the fastest lap-times by each driver at each of the WCS rounds, and currently leading the ‘West Coast Bullet’ is Mark House, who heads to Esperance buoyed from his recent win in Northam. Andrew Priolo is the season’s newest star, with a win at the Perth Motorplex, and a recent podium in Northam, Priolo will be joined by his brother Jason, who too is making a great return to F500 racing.

Returning to racing for the weekend, Brad Warwick and Cody Turrachio, with local Esperance hero Keith Miller also nominated for Friday.

From top to tail, it promises to be a great show. With the West Australian F500 State title the following weekend, this is the last chance for drivers to get some laps before WA’s premier blue-ribbon event.
