Alice Springs Speedway was the venue for round three of the TDC Formula 500 series where a large field of 11 Formula 500 cars were on hand after with Justin Hooker and Gerald Shadforth mading the journey from Tennant Creek.

The Alice Springs local boys Adam (Macca) Macdonald, Steve Anderson, Joe Orr, Chris Moore, Jeremy Spoehr, Jarrod Woolcock and Heath Martin, joined the newcomers to the field Jordi Little and Shane (Boofy) Cole making a welcome boost to the local ranks.

Showing good pace after a few seasons off was Shadforth from Tennant Creek as well as Justin Hooker who is proving to be one to watch out for in the near future. 16 year old, Jordi Little from Alice Springs in his first time out in the NT83 Stallard of Shorty Maclean was impressive with Moe Mccosker and Maclean taking the youngster under their wing and showing he will have a bright future
