Fgbmfi F500 Stampede Series Round 4 Nominations

27 Formula 500’s have nominated for the 4th round of the Full Gospel Business Mans Fellowship International Formula 500 Stampede Series to be contested at Redline Raceway, Ballarat tomorrow night February 25th.

Defending Stampede Series champion James Aranyosi is coming off the back of 2 podium finishes in Victoria. After a horrid Oval Express series which saw him blow a motor and roll the once pristine V50 PMP chassis, expect Aranyosi to be up the front.

Former Stampede Series Super Stars winner Jye O’Keeffe heads into this weekends race brimming with confidence. After finishing on the podium in the last round at Hamilton, O’Keeffe heads into this weekends race hoping to have a strong run. He was untouchable a few weeks ago at Laang before contact between him and a lapped car saw him flip taking him out of the race. Expect O’Keeffe to put this behind him and once again be up the pointy end of the field.

After missing the last few races since the SA Title, Round 2 winner Chad Sullivan will return to the seat. Chad will come into Round 4 looking to get some much needed practise in the car before the Victorian and Australian titles.

Mat Turner captured a career highlight at Simpson Speedway earlier this year when he finished 4th in the 4th round of this season’s Oval Express Series. Driving his self constructed ASF Chassis, Turner went on to finish a fine 9th overall and will defiantly be brimming with confidence. He will head into this weekends meeting knowing that he has the package that could take him to victory lane.

Many drivers enjoyed standout Oval Express Series with multiple heat wins and top 10 finishes. Drivers like Will Carroll (4th at Warrnambool, 8th in series), Mitch Whiting (Multiple Podium finishes, 7th in series) and last start feature winner Dale Sinclair (10th in the series) will be looking to carry the form in this weekend.

Lee Hardess returns to the seat of the V21 after riding out a massive wreck during the early rounds of the Oval Express Series at Avalon. A steering component broke sending him hard right into the wall destroying the once pristine Hyper chassis. Hardess will be hoping to have a good clean run and hope a good finish will be in store.

Plenty of drivers will be looking to show their hand in Saturday’s proceedings. These drivers include Rod Baker driving the Leigh Van Ginneken V15, Andrew Morton, Brett Dillon, Tyler Carter, Hometown driver Phil Smith, Dylan Willsher, Adrian Christian, Justin Sadler, Ash Sinclair, Shane Van Duynhoven, Matthew Symons, AJ Blackstock, Dion Gibbons, Adam Turner, Steven Horton, Robert Trewartha, Andrew Rae and Jarryd Irving.

Drivers are reminded that SIGN IN TIME has changed to 4pm with RACING starting at 5pm. With the Formula 500’s also on the same program as Speedcars, a huge night of action packed open wheel warfare is in store. Spectators are urged to get to the speedway early to guarantee a good seat.
The winner of this season’s FGBMFI.org Formula 500 Stampede Series will win a brand new Crossfire 250cc Motorcycle valued at $2800 kindly supplied by Ken and Cheryl Willsher of Crossfire Motorcycles & ATV’s.
After last season’s format was reviewed a brand new format has been introduced where each car will compete in 2 heats. After these heats the top 10 on points will be locked into the A-Main while the remainder of the field, depending on car count, will participate in a B-Main with the top 10 transferring to the back of the A-Main. The driver who has amassed the most B-Main points throughout the season will win themselves a Helmet of their choice valued up to $900.
The Victorian Formula 500 Association would like to thank the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International and Ken and Cheryl Willsher from Crossfire Motorcycles & ATV’s for their valued support of the 2011/2012 Victorian Formula 500 Stampede Series.
