With the backing of Speedway Net, Laang Speedway has struck a deal this afternoon to provide a live audio stream for both nights of the Australian Formula 500 Championship, free of charge.

"We have waited until this afternoon to announce the live audio deal because we wanted to test both the internet connection and the audio feed capabilities before making it public." explained Daniel Beard who will be on-hand to co-ordinate the stream.

"We are stepping back in time and going to upstream it via a dial-up connection!"

"With the issues everyone has had all summer long with 3G connectivity, it will be quite ironic if the old 56K dial up works a treat."

"We are happy with the tests conducted this afternoon, so we will give it a go."

"It is a great initiative of Ken Willsher and the team at Laang to do this and Darren Shaddock at Speedway Net was only to willing to supply the feed."

"It should be a great two nights of racing, I am looking forward to it and I am sure those that can't make it will enjoy listening in to the call."

The link will be placed on both Speedway Net and Formula500.com.au on Friday and Saturday afternoons.

It is planned for the free audio feed to get underway at around 6pm each night.
