17 Formula 500’s have nominated for the penultimate round of the FGBMFI.org Stampede Series to be held at Mid Western Speedway, Darlington this Saturday night.
With the series lead close every point will be crucial.

Will Carroll is currently leading the points and has shown plenty of speed in recent weeks even leading the Australian Title A-Main before spinning. The defending Stampede Series champion James Aranyosi sits just 5 points shy in 2nd. Aranyosi has been very consistent and will be looking for a strong finish to the season.

Ash Sinclair is sitting 3rd, just 58 points behind the leader and with another clean run he will be right up the front. Joining Ash is his brother Dale. The 2008/2009 Stampede Series Champion has been suffering from engine gremlins all season and will be looking to capture the same form that has netted him 2 feature wins this season.

Chad Sullivan had an Australian title to forget where he failed to finish 2 heats ending his weekend prematurely. Chad will look for a clean run and end the season on a good note. The current Victorian Champion, Jye O’Keeffe, is rearing to go. After winning last weekend’s race at Simpson, Jye will head into this weekend with plenty of speed and confidence.

Mat Turner sits 4th on the points heading into this weekends race. After a bone jarring crash which resulted in some damage to his home made ASF Chassis, Turner will be looking to complete the season on the right note. Justin Sadler is sitting in 5th and will head into the twilight of his rookie season with the hope of a good result.

Other drivers to keep an eye on include Terry Rankin, Brett Dillon, Tyler Carter, Mitch Whiting, Shane Van Duynhoven, Matthew Symons, AJ Blackstock, Steven Horton, Robert Trewartha and Jarryd Irving.

Racing will start at 5pm with each car to contest 2 10 lap heats and a 35 lap final. Laang Speedway has rescheduled the rained out Round 4 for April 28th making this the final round of the series.
