Formula 500’s Back To Kellerberrin Speedway This Saturday
The Perth TQ Car Club in conjunction with the Kellerberrin Speedway Club commences its 2012 winter season for Formula 500’s at the Kellerberrin Speedway this coming Saturday. The track situated some 200km north east of Perth, will hold five daylight meetings over the next few months, culminating with the PTQCC F500 Open Club Championship on the 1st September with a prizepool in excess of $3000.
The tight 445 metre track is a great place to test new equipment, a place for seat time for developing drivers or just a great place to race & have some fun. Several of the current top drivers in WA started their venture into speedway at this track. Already this meeting will see a couple of new faces in the F500 ranks plus a return of another former driver. Sarah Zemunik will drop down from her sprintcar duties & has purchased one of Matt Brown’s cars that he recently campaigned in the Oval Express Series with. Local Kellerberrin identity Troy Johnson has purchased one of Jason Priolo’s cars, Troy comes from production sedans but more recently from the karting scene. After a break of a few years Gavin Connelly will make a return to racing in his modified HRC chassis.
This season the PTQCC have allocated a particular sponsor for each division & are proud to announce that the Formula 500’s for 2012 will race for points towards the TUCKER TIME FOR PETS FORMULA 500 SERIES. All at the PTQCC thank Trevor Harding & his company for their continued support of this Club & Formula 500’s.
