Margaret River played host to Round Two of the 2012/13 West Coast Series and the drivers put on quite the display with competitive driving making an exhibition for all those involved.
With the field split into two heats for Round One, Heat One began with Andrew Priolo coming from the back of the lineup to claim a commanding victory. Graham Terry followed suit, with Mark House rounding out the top three, claiming the fastest lap of Heat One along the way.
The field then took to the track for Heat Two of Round One.
Tristin Caley clocked the fastest time of Heat Two and this built the foundation for his Round One victory. Jason Pryde also started the night well with a second place finish and WA1 David Sinagra claiming an encouraging finish, finishing third.
Heat One of Round Two, continued where Round One left off with Andrew Priolo and the Team at MAC Projects Racing again claiming a consecutive first place finish, and taking the honours of the fastest lap in the heat. Debbie Patmore took out second place with young gun, Troy Johnson claiming third.
With Heat Two of Round Two up next, Travis Bell claimed his maiden victory of the night, closely followed by the consistent Graham Terry, with Glen Sharpe finishing third. Despite a seventh place finish, Mark House again claimed the fastest lap with a 15.696.
In the top six shoot out, Andrew Priolo again continued his good form, beating Jason Pryde for Poll position. As it would eventuate, car 10 and 51 would again line up alongside each other in the feature.
With the two form drivers of the night leading the pack into the feature, it took the first turn to determine the winner. Jason Pryde edged out the front runner, Andrew, and, despite it being incredibly close throughout the 20 laps, maintained the lead to grab victory in the feature.
Mark House continued his bullet-like speed throughout the night to again clock the fastest lap, and claim a second place finish, with the form driver of the night Andrew Priolo rounding out the top three in what was an overall successful night for Margaret River Speedway and all those involved.
