Steven Ellement is hoping his good form will continue on Thursday night after leading the way in the AJ Cochrane and Sons Formula 500s on Wednesday night.

Ellement won the 12-lap final from Brock Nanovich and Andrew Priolo with the margin between first and second being 3.935 seconds.

“We can’t really get much better result than that,” Ellement said.

“The track is good at the moment.

“I am hoping we can come back tomorrow night and do the same.”

Nanovich won the first race from Cody Turacchio and Priolo with Ellement claiming the second race from Adrian Fogliani and Matt Higgs.
