Scotcher Race Fuels Formula 500 Murray Bridge Championship

26 of this countries best Formula 500 drivers will converge on Murray Bridge this weekend for the 2013 Scotcher Race Fuels Formula 500 Murray Bridge Championship.

A strong field of locals will again be on hand led by in form racer, Scott Dungey. Dungey has been impressive this year and is one of the favourites going into the event. Current South Australian Champion and Australia number three, Brock Hallett will be hard to beat driving for Ken Willsher in the v5 XXX machine he claimed the SA title in prior to Christmas. Always fast around the Murray Bridge venue is “The Bordertown Bandit” Brad Tink who has a very good record at the track of recent times.

Other local drivers looking to take the crown will be Karoussis, Miller, Gower, Cates, Brooks, Eve and Reichelt to name a few while the rookies in the field will be lead by Josh Michelmore who brings into the event brilliant form after taking top point honors at the previous meeting at the venue three weeks ago. “The Lady” Lisa Walker will continue her battle with Michelmore for top rookie honors while Shaun Brown will also make the trip again from Mildura to fly the flag for the rookies in the S99 Stallard.

A number of Victorians will jump the border to contest the event including “The King” Dylan Willsher who claimed the King of the Bridge crown at this last visit to the Bridge but he will have to fend off fellow Victorians O’Keefe, Ash and Dale Sinclair, Matthew Symons, Paul O’Shannasy and Rob Trewartha who will all be expected to be on the pace early.

A trio of Northern Territory drivers will contest the event after team mates, Joe Orr and Steven Anderson will again be on hand after spending the month of January racing in the southern state, while they will be joined by red centre youngster Jordi Little who will be having his first look at the Murray Bridge track.

If you can’t make it to the races, you can follow the action on facebook by going to the Formula 500’s SA page.
