The 31st Bunny Burrowes Memorial will be huge
The 31st annual Bunny Burrowes Memorial for Formula 500s will be staged at Makit Narrogin Speedway on April 27th 2013 and after the success of last year’s event promises to be one not to be missed.
The organisers of the Bunny Burrowes Memorial, the Perth TQ Car Club are excited about holding this event once again in 2013 as it honours one of their founding & life members, the late Bernard George Burrowes or “Bunny” as he was affectionately known.
Last year’s running of the “Bunny” was the 30th anniversary of the event and the Perth TQ Car Club along with the Narrogin Speedway Club and major sponsor Janssen’s Transport Service decided to up the ante and make the event a $10,000 show with $5000 going to the winner.
The good news is that all parties have decided to offer the same prize money in 2013. Steve Adley, President of the Perth TQ Car Club had this to say about the event, “Everyone on the committee of our club is excited to announce that we have decided to keep the Bunny Burrowes Memorial a $10,000 race meeting. Of course we must thank the Narrogin Speedway club and the team at Janssen’s Transport Service for once again getting behind this event and with their support we are able to make the Bunny Burrowes Memorial one of the biggest Formula 500 events in the country”.
A number of Eastern States competitors have already expressed interest in contesting this year’s event including Victorian Sprintcar star Stephen Bell.
A big contingent of West Aussies will also be on hand including defending champion Matt Brown who took home the $5000 winners cheque last year.
Entry forms for the Janssen’s Transport Service 2013 Bunny Burrowes Memorial will be available shortly from the Perth TQ Car Club website at www.perthtqcarclub.myclub.org.au.
