Comeback racer Steven Gay has won the season opening race meeting at Kellerberrin Speedway on May 18th 2013.

The meeting was the first of five to be held at Kellerberrin for the Perth TQ Car Club 2013 winter season with fourteen drivers making the trek to the wheatbelt venue. Perfect weather and track conditions provided a great days racing with a number of drivers making their debut.

Thomas Davies who took out the Bunny Burrowes Memorial back in late April was in strong form throughout the day winning a heat race and the feature but only managed to finish second overall for the day.

Veteran driver Brett Janssen showed a return to form in finish third in the day's points standing and also winning the third heat race.
