Narrogin's own Thomas Davies tonight dominated the end of season Perth TQ Car Club awards that was held at the Glen Iris Bar & Restaurant on Saturday 5th October 2013.
In a season that saw Davies claim the Bunny Burrowes Memorial back in April, he also claimed both the heat race and feature race points categories and then to top the night off, Davies received the best and fairest award.
"We had a great season," said Davies as he addressed the large crowd. "It wouldn't have been possible without all our sponsors and a huge thanks goes to them along with Kellerberrin and Narrogin Speedways and of course the whole PTQCC."
Brent Lockwood claimed second in both the feature and heat race point awards.
Regular Speedcar pilot Chris Telenta also did well on the night after stepping into the seat of a Formula 500 for much of the winter season. Telenta claimed the Bill Garrity Memorial trophy for The Most Improved Driver and the Keen Quip Battler of the Year, not to mention the third place trophies for feature race and heat race points.
"We had some good fun and thanks to all the guys who helped us out," said Telenta. "Also thanks to my dad who helps me out so much as well as my girlfriend Kelly"
The ever popular Brett Janssen, who has been part of the PTQCC as a driver and sponsor for a long time now, also received an award, taking out the Norm Kemp Memorial trophy for being voted the drivers driver.
It was a great season for the Formula 500 division of the PTQCC, with over 50 drivers taking part over the cpurse of the season. The club now takes a break as the summer season commences until the Bunny Burrowes Memorial is held at Narrogin Speedway on the 16th of March, 2014.
