Fast Formulas this Friday!

Although its not a points round, nor is it an official race meeting for the Formula 500's, this Fridays (tomorrows) opening round of the FAST racing events at the Perth Motorplex is set to be huge, with massive numbers of Formula 500 racers set to hit the track.

With the Motorplex hosting the Australian Championship next March, many drivers are looking to get as much lap time as they can in preparation for the event, and will use this meeting as a way to dust off some of the cobwebs from the offseason.

Of course not all drivers had a full offseason. Many raced with the Perth TQ Car Club at Kellerberrin and Narrogin Speedways, with drivers the ilk of Thomas Davies, Adrian Fogliani and Adrian La Macchia all doing events. Davies in particular did well, claiming the overall season points at the recent PTQCC Windup.

Meanwhile the last week or so has been busy with two teams having launches. Late last week Jason Priolo and Brock Nanovich launched their newly formed Multi Scaffold Racing team, with the duo taking the standard of Formula 500 racing in Western Australia to a new level.

Jason Pryde Motorport, consisting of Jason Prydes Sprintcars, as well as Chanelle and Brendan Condrens Formula 500's held their team launch earlier this week and again the highly professional team impressed many.

Indeed both Chanelle and Brendan, a rookie and a veteran respectively in their own rite, are expected to be in the field this Friday night, with a number of other new comers as well as the more experienced competitors.

Make sure you head down to the Perth Motorplex tomorrow night to see all the new paint schemes and get in on the action, and don't forget to head down to the pits after the meeting to see the drivers!
