The 2013-14 season has started in impressive fashion for Cody Maroske and the Maroske Motorsport team.

In what is his first full season in Formula 500s, Maroske has contested three race meetings, Toowoomba Speedbowl, Moranbah Speedway and Archerfield Speedway, and been on the pace aboard his Qld # 22 Woodson Excavations and Beenleigh Mufflers and Brakes supported Hyper in all of them.

“I have been really happy with my start to the season,” Maroske expressed. “We spent the off season rebuilding our car and getting a better understanding of it. The benefits of that are already evident because we have been a podium contender at every meeting so far this season.”

In his first three race meetings, the highlight has been his upset victory in the North Queensland Title at Moranbah Speedway.

“Heading into the event, we didn’t really have any expectations except to be able to finish somewhere inside the top five, so to come away with the win was both a surprise and a massive thrill,” explained Maroske, who had topped qualified heading into the North Queensland Title deciding feature race and then went on to lead every lap. “We were chasing car setup all night, but we continued to work hard and got a great setup for the feature race, and it rewarded us with the best possible result.”

After such a strong start to the 2013-14 season, Maroske is excited about the rest of the season.

“The plan is to be based in Queensland doing all of the meetings there and if we can, try and travel interstate a few times when there is a break in the local calendar,” he said. “For the remainder of the season, the goals are to be as consistent as possible and continue to learn more every time we hit the track.”

Maroske will be next in action on Saturday night, November 2 at Archerfield Speedway for the second round of the Tyrepower 600 Series.
