A massive field of Formula 500’s have nominated for this weekends third round of the Racemate West Coast Series to be held at Narrogin Speedway.
No less than twenty nine nominations have been received for this weekends meeting, making it one of the biggest ever held, and with the previous two rounds having two different winners, one is left to wonder wether a new driver will be standing on the top step of the podium come feature time.
With round two winner Steven Ellement away due to work commitments, Andrew Priolo is the only previous round winner at the event this weekend and he will be looking to repeat his round one efforts and claim another win.
Looking to rain on his parade will be twenty eight other drivers, with many capable of claiming that win. Matt Brown is one such driver and having won the last start feature race at the Perth Motorplex, comes into the round with good form.
Also looking for that elusive win is the Multi Scaffold Racing team of Jason Priolo and Brock Nanovich. Both have the best equipment available and are capable of racing their way to the pointy end of the field, they just need a little luck to be on their side!
Thomas Davies is always a threat at Narrogin, being his home track, and the last time the Formulas raced there he claimed the win in the Bunny Burrowes Memorial. David Sinagra has also nominated, with the former WA Champion returning to racing last weekend and showing no signs of being rusty.
Davies, Troy Johnson, Priolo and Nanovich are all very much in the points battle for the West Coast Series and with the absence of Steven Ellement, they will be looking to overtake him in the standings and consolidate their positions.
Add into the field the first appearance this season of the Nardinis: Luke and Jamie, as well as Greg Nicholas and the ever improving Tegan Broadwood, not to mention a full cast of the fast and once again the division has an exciting mix of drivers to put on some great action.
The pocket rockets will be hitting the track tomorrow night at Narrogin Speedway and with a full support program it is set to be a huge night, so make sure you are there to witness some fast and furious action!
