Formula 500's SA Speedway City round up

Hallett sweeps the city

Brock Hallett swept both features at Speedway City on Saturday night and on the way claimed a new 15 lap race record and signalled to his rivals that he is ready to claim his second Australia title in a few weeks time in Perth.

In a twin feature format, Hallett came from two mid pack starts in his Cates Motorsport Triple X chassis to be the class of the field and win both features and the overall points for the night.

Angelo Karoussis in his Able Transport Stallard put recent motor gremlins behind him to have a successful night out and came home second in both features and second in the points score for the night.

Rory Stevenson continues to find form coming third in his first race and fifth in the second to tie on points for third with "the Bordertown Bandit" Brad Tink who placed fifth in the first feature before running third in the second feature.

Also having a better night was Chris Brooks in the Sunnybrae Function Stallard who claimed fourth in the first feature and faded slightly in the second feature with electrical dramas to finish sixth and fifth in the points overall for the night just ahead of Simon Reichelt in the Laka Civil Plant Hire Triple X.

Both features were once again uneventful and went green all the way and set with a blistering speed providing a spectacle for the Speedway City crowd. Saturday night was the Formula 500's last run at the venue for the year but plans are already underway for their return next season.
