Another good field of Formula 500’s have nominated for this weekend’s Plus Fitness 24/7 Boxing Day Bonanza at the Perth Motorplex!
After the action that has been put on in the last few weeks, it is sure to be another great show with twenty two Formula’s ready to hit the track to close off the festive season.
Headlining the charge is event sponsor Adrian Haywood, who has been in absolutely devastating form recently, including taking out not one but two feature races last weekend. Haywood raced through the field all night and went on to claim the Friday night FAST Racing Series feature, before returning to the venue the following night and claiming a second dominating victory in as many nights. Going on this form alone he is going to be a hard one to stop.
Of course there is going to be a whole host of drivers looking to stop his run, including Troy Johnson who finished second to Haywood at the last show. ‘Showtime’ showed he had good speed and ran strongly all night but couldn’t quite get the job done last time around, so will be hoping to go one better this weekend.
Young guns Chris Dymock and Luke Nardini figured prominently in the last show and if everything falls their way they are more than capable of claiming the feature win.
Matt Brown is back in the field after a vicious roll at the last meeting that left the team with niggling issues. The car was on song up until the crash and Brown will be out for revenge this time around after spending the week checking everything on the car is perfect.
The field has once again been boosted by the return of Steven Ellement and after missing a couple of meetings he will be chomping at the bit to get back on track and record a good result.
Matt Higgs is another who returns this weekend and has shown the #7 machine is very quick in the past, so he will be hopeful of a good result, while other names like Ash Kent and Bill Richards will also make an appearance.
Add in a whole host of other quick drivers including Craig Bottrell, Cameron McKenzie, Jeremy Saffin, Brock Nanovich and Shane Andersson and we have all the makings of an absolutely bonza show!
